European Parliament Approves Resolution on Sign Language and Interpreters
On 23rd of November, the European Parliament overwhelmingly voted inf favor of a resolution on sign language and sign language interpreters. Written by several Members of the European Parliament, including deaf MEPs Helga Stevens and Ádám Kósa, the resolution points out the importance of providing accessibility for the Deaf through sign language interpretation. It also lays out measures that need to be taken in order to improve the provision of sign language interpretation at EU and national levels.
